Congratulations on your baby! Just as you feel you got the hang of milk feeds now it is time to think about solids!

It is better to judge each baby’s readiness for weaning individually.

Not all babies are developmentally ready for solids at exactly the same age. I have 3 children. They were all ready for solids at a different age. If you scroll through my Instagram grid and highlights you will see the factors that I considered before starting my baby on solids.

You should never start your baby on solids before 17 weeks. I discuss this in my Weaning Masterclass where I also discuss why all babies should be on solids before 27 weeks.

I have put this summary together for you to help you decide when your baby is ready.
