Introducing shellfish:

Even if you rarely eat shellfish, such as prawns, it might be useful to check tolerance as introducing allergens early has been shown to reduce the possibility of a reaction.

You can buy frozen prawns in the supermarket bought. Have them for your own dinner a few days before to make sure they are ok. When giving them to your little one, let it defrost for an hour or two & then heat in boiling water. Cut off a small piece and gave it to baby.

Choose a day when your baby is well, no runny nose/ rashes / not teething & in good form. If they are distressed after having the prawn, then you will know.
